Established in Madrid in 2009, Ediciones Nevsky started, specialising in Russian Literature in Spanish translation. Our eclectic list aligns classics like Pushkin or Gogol with Soviet science fiction authors such as Aleksandr Bogdanov or the Strugatsky Brothers. The fantastic, the weird and speculative fiction are an important part of our collection. Published alongside classics, our intention is to indicate genre fiction's deserved place in the literary canon. We care about book design, illustration, and making beautiful books: our illustrated edition of The Master and Margarita, the first new Spanish translation in forty years, gained us rave reviews.
The project expanded, from the classic and contemporary Russian fiction of Schedrín, Anna Starobinets or Vladímir Lórchenkov, to Lovecraft, Nina Allan, Karin Tidbeck, together with the bright stars of Spanish fantasy, published in the Fábulas collection.
Our new collection, Nevsky Books, showcases some of the most exciting Spanish slipstream authors working today in English translation.
